LETTER from the COMMODORE
Welcome to the 65th Annual Beaufort Water Festival!
My name is Erin “Tank” Morris, and I am very honored to serve as the Commodore of this year’s festival along with an awesome team of volunteers and supporters! Let’s continue to celebrate our community with this time honored tradition. What a beautiful sight indeed!
Our special waterways and land-to-sea way of life in the natural beauty of the Sea Islands is remarkable – and the beginning of Water Festival coincides the annual tradition of shrimp season, an important staple of Beaufort culture.
The Water Festival brings the community together each summer, and there is truly something for everyone! The full schedule of events is crafted for locals and visitors alike. Each night offers different concerts for us to enjoy together, and each weekend is fun-filled, family-
friendly events like raft races, Children’s Day, Air Show and so much more! As we build up to the 10-day festival in the park, we are excited to host y’all at sporting events like a Golf Tournament on beautiful Fripp Island, Fishing Tournament in local waters, an awesome Cornhole competition, traditional Sailing Regatta, and a 5k/10K run through Port Royal. For a full list of events, click here.
Of course, none of this would be possible without the huge support of our very generous sponsors. With their continued leadership, the Water Festival uniquely offers everything from national recording artists to homegrown fun for all ages to enjoy. Please take the time to visit
our Sponsor Page here and take advantage of their products and services in the spirit of keeping it local!
I’d also like to take this moment to recognize all the wonderful staff and civic organizations who continue to support this event. You see, our staff is like no other; we are all volunteers! We come from near and afar and all walks of life. With everyone from first responders,
military, medical fields, teachers, builders and so on, we all collaborate to bring a valuable tradition and an unparalleled experience. “What a Beautiful Sight” it will be enjoy this special place together and celebrate all our
community has to offer!
