FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Can I bring drinks, food or coolers into the park?
No. Food and soft drinks are sold by the high school Booster Club concessionaires. Adult beverages are also available for purchase.
Why can’t I take my drink with me when I leave the event?
It is a violation of a city ordinance to carry or walk around with alcoholic beverages on city property, outside the gated Waterfront Park events, therefore, all drinks–whether alcoholic or not–must be disposed of before leaving the park.
Why aren’t strollers permitted to the Concert in the Park?
Because the Concert in the Park attracts a large standing-room-only crowd, strollers pose a safety hazard and make it difficult to navigate the walkways and therefore, are not permitted.
Do I have to buy tickets in advance to get into the concerts?
Tickets for the Concert in the Park event will be sold online ONLY, while supplies last. NO SALES AT THE GATE for this event.
Tickets for all other nightly events will be sold online as well as at the gate.
Is there a discounted ticket price for children?
Yes. Children five (5) and under are admitted free (please note: there are no Strollers allowed during Concert in the Park). Children are not allowed at Teen Dance and River Dance.
If I buy tickets online, how do I receive them?
All tickets purchased online are digital tickets. You will receive an email with your tickets attached.
Is there assigned seating?
No. The Waterfront Park venue is open seating and all seating is available on a first come, first served basis.
Can I bring my own lawn chairs and blankets?
During the Concert in the Park event the grass area in front of the stage, the "bowl," will be standing room only. There will be clearly defined boundaries around this area and will continue to be open walking space along the pavers.
For all other nightly events you can bring lawn chairs and set them up in advance if you desire. The park closes for an hour prior to the gates opening. It is best to set up your chairs before the park closes, or get there when the gates open to set up early. The Water Festival is not responsible for loss or theft of chairs, blankets or items left in the park in advance, or after, an event.
What happens if it rains?
The weather can be somewhat unpredictable in July, however, the Water Festival has a covered stage and most musical acts will play in a light rain or drizzle. Occasionally we have to wait out a sudden shower. In the case of a total rain out, no refunds will be issued.
