2008 Commodore
2008 Commodore, Les Brediger and his wife Carol
Commodore Brediger is the Director of Military Programs at the
University of South Carolina Beaufort. He is married to Carol Brediger,
a guidance counselor at Mossy Oaks Elementary School. Les first became
involved with the Water Festival as a facilities volunteer in 1984. He
held his first coordinator's position in 1993 as Sports Coordinator and
has been a part of the Water Festival since that time. Les retired from
the Marine Corps in 1991 from Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 312, is a
graduate of the Leadership Beaufort class of 1994, Past President of
the Sea Island Rotary Club 1998 - 1999, and presently serves on the
Tourism Committee for the Beaufort Chamber of Commerce. Les and Carol
have two children, Holden, 21 and Elizabeth, 14. Paul Howe is the
Festival Consultant for 2008.
